Hi everyone, it was pretty cold this morning. Grandad thought it would be a good idea to do something fun today. So since bow season just opened up this week, that's what we did.
First we tracked them to their hiding spots.
We found the rubs and scraps,
The buck doing these scraps, is small, I want to find his Daddy.
We kept looking all morning long.
The morning ended with no sightings. Partly because Great Aunt Susan was too loud in the woods, EEEH, OOOH that hurts was all I could hear from my deer stand.After lunch I had a nap with the puppies. My appetite was not the same today, every pile of deer poop we saw Grandad told it was raisinettes.

Oh Jack, I'm so sorry that my behavior resulted in you not getting your big buck. But, as a way to say how really sorry I am I will bring you a bag of raisinettes next week. Don't worry about all the scratches I got on my ankles this afternoon, I'm pretty sure the infection won't go past my knees. I should be fine after a few surgeries.
