Hi I'm Jack

Hi I'm Jack
I started this blog to let people know about my Friday adventures. And I continue it for Ryan, and now Ruby thinks she is going to take over.(Mike Timlin and Tim Wakefield at the road race.)

Introducing our Sister

She has finally arrived, we still don't know her name yet, but we think it's going to be Ruby.
Now before you all get all mushy about having a little sister, think about us.
We got the lecture this morning before Mom and Dad went to the hospital. No more leaving stuff around that the baby could choke on, no more head butts, and most important put the toilet seat down.
Poor us!
Love Jack and Ryan

PS This is what it's going to be like around here.

Watch for the updates with pics as soon as we get some.

We are really happy with our new little sister.
Everyone is back home, and life is normal again.
We are no longer on the visiting tour of relatives

Decorating for the holidays

Hi everyone,
It's that time of year again.
Time to put up the Christmas decorations.
We unpacked all the stuff and got it organized.
 Got all our tools ready.
Got the ladders out.
Ryan even went around to get all the branches trimmed back from the house.
And here is the final product.
Now we wait with sugarplums dancing in our heads
for the big day.

PS,
We need a little help with baby names. Not only is Christmas coming, but so is our little sister.
Mom and Dad have been busy and don't tell us everything that's going on.
We are concerned that the name Wilma is a go, so we need everyone to post some good little girl names here on the blog.
You can do it anonymously if you like but we need help.
The thought of "Wilmmmmmmmaaa" being screamed through the neighborhood is frightening to us.

Fall Trips

 Hi All,
We thought we'd update you on our past couple of weeks. Ryan, I will do the mouse you type.
 We went bowling with Grampy.
The ball return could be a little faster.
Trying to pick up the elusive 1-3-9 split
 Yeah!
 That's a strike, I don't even have to watch.
Then it was off to the Museum of Science thanks to
G. A. Susan.
Where do we fit on this timeline Jack?
The lunar module was a breeze to navigate.
Next we went to Davis farm and the corn maze. Don't worry nobody needed to call 911
We got a little tired but everyone returned safe.
Nobody could touch me in checkers, my triple jumps were the secret.
Problem with winning at checkers, nobody will play chess with me.

Carving pumpkins was next on the adventure list.
 Pretty scary,
Finally an update on Charlie, she appears to be doing well. Not as well as the fish though. The fish have warm pink water, poor Charlie looks lost in a snowstorm somewhere in Montana. I knew we should have kept her here.

Love Jack and Ryan.

Updated Tux Info and Halloween Pic

Sorry for the delay in the update, but the pics have just confirmed my prediction.
Everybody looks so dressed up. Aunt Cassie, Uncle Pat, Mom, and even Dad.
Come on Jack, plaid shirt, sneakers, and white socks,
at least Dad got into the tux.
 Even Wilma looks good.
Here is our Halloween picture along with one of Esme and Diego. Or should I say Ninja and Tink.

A Sleepover

 Hi All,
My family is going to a wedding, that I was not invited to. So I have been abandoned.
Thank goodness, Grammie and Grandad volunteered to keep me over night.
Jack is supposed to carry the ring down the aisle. From the last image I had before they left, all I can say is fat chance of that happening.
Maybe he would do it if he could wear his fireman outfit, but no way is he going to wear the Tux. Just my opinion though.
Anyway, Great Papa came by and read books with me, and he had remembered the time when my Dad was going to be a "ring bringer downer".
That didn't go so well either.
Grammie dug through her archives to find this evidence.
At least they got my Dad in the tux.
I think Great Papa said my Dad would go if he had McDonald's first. I guess that's where Jack and I get our deal making ideas from.
.
So the rest of the day I just waited for my family to return to get me.
That looks like them. Nope
I might as well give you an update on the
"Hillbillies in Montana".
Ashley and Tom are doing well, as far as I know.
They have been traveling all over the place, I hear.
Hey, Aunt Ashley, don't look now, but is that Grandad in the rear view mirror stalking you and Tom?
As far as the Hillbilly part, from these next two pictures, you can draw your own conclusions.
When is hunting season on tofu? Spring or Fall I forget.
When the wedding pictures get back, I will let you know how far Jack made it.
See ya

Good News Bad News

"Jack, you don't need all those commas." ....."When you type Ryan, you don't have to use any if you like.
First we will start with the bad news. Aunt Ashley is moving to Montana with Tom.
Grandad thinks they are going to turn into hillbillies, whatever a hillbilly means.
Yup, plaid shirts and a log cabin. They do look like hillbillies!
The good news is, we get to take care of her fish.
We have always wanted to have a pet or two. So this will be our chance to prove to Mom and Dad we can handle the responsibility.
Sure enough, day one and we already ran out of fish food. You would think it would come in a bigger container. They may look like little fishes but they sure do eat a lot.
Thank goodness Grandad stopped by. He told us fish like worms, so we threw a couple in the tank but nothing happened. Then we remembered our fishing poles. That was the trick, just dangle a worm about half way down the fish bowl and bang they take it. This is going so well, maybe we can take care of Charlie too.
Rattlesnakes?  Maybe Charlie should be staying with us.

My Rebuttal to Jack's Last Post

I read Jack's last post, wondering why he would post such an important post without his little brother's input, about our new little sister. So I wondered if anyone would like my thoughts on the matter. Well here they are.
Well, Jack and I knew before anybody else that we were going to have a sibling. So I did a lot of thinking while sitting on the beach. How will this effect me?
I even asked Uncle Pat about having my Mom and Aunt Cassie as sisters. Seeing how this is a family style blog, I will choose to leave Uncle Pat and my conversation private. Uncle Pat can be colorful at times.

I decided to think about Jack and me. For the most part we love each other. I don't think for a moment that my coming into his life has disrupted a thing.
As is evident in these photos
Sure, there are times that he gives me "wet willies", but that's all part of being a younger brother.
After many hours walking on the beach soul searching.
 And eating ice cream.
I have finally come to the conclusion that a little sister is going to be great.
The beach is a great place to work out solutions.
I can't wait to give Wilma a "wet willie"
Love Ryan
