Belated Veteran's Day

Hi everyone, I am back with Grandad this week. He caught me off guard when he yelled at me for not mentioning the veterans last week.
I don't know if he was more mad at me or Grammie. But, I guess he wasn't impressed with the rocks we visited. So anyway I found a picture of my Dad's cousin David. So here's to the veteran's I forgot to mention last week.Pretty impressive outfit there David, we could have used you to watch for Al Kida in Grandad's front yard. With that uniform on nobody would have ventured into his yard, Al, Steve, or Fred

When we finished my tribute to the veterans, Grandad took me to Indian Rock with Great Aunt Susan. Once again all I remember is whining " isn't this too far into the woods?". Grandad was getting mad but he kept on going farther and farther into the woods.
When we finally got there it wasn't much to look at, but I could hear the heart beat.

I tried to measure for the kithchen at Grandad's but he took my tape away.
The afternoon was beatiful so me and Great Papa picked up the rest of the acorns. Now I know why Grandad is so intense, "pay attention to what your doing Jack, turn the wheel, you missed these ones," I was waiting for him tell me to take off my glasses.

See you all next week
Love Jack

  1. Hi Jack
I'm glad to see you had a good day. I'm glad you remembered, or were reminded about Veterans Day. Now who would David be to you...Great cousin once removed??(I never understood that)I'm going to get one of those tracking devices for you if Grandad keeps taking you so deep into the woods. I'm not so sure his cognitive receptors are as good as they used to be. And as far as taking the tape measure away from you...I think you have proven yourself to be a great kitchen planner...has Grandad seen all the kitchen layouts you have on your computer??? Last, I'm very happy you and Great Papa got all those acorns picked up. I think they were really bugging Grandad. Come by my house tomorrow for some well deserved R&R. Maybe we can eat some kapusta!!!Love you...Love, Mumba

  3. Jack, Jack, Jack - where is your posting for November 28th! Did you eat too much turkey and fall into a tryptophan stupor? Or, are your practicing for being a teen and thumbing your nose at all of us old folk who live to read your entry? Come on Jack, you took on a responsibility that you need to live up to. If you don't keep your end of the bargain your Grandad may take over the writing and that would be scarey. Who knows what we would be reading. Please don't skip anymore weeks! Love, Great aunt Susan.
