Flagg field and the Horse incident
Grandad made me do some filing before we got outside, I am like it's the first Friday in a long time we've had sun, and you want to file!!
When we finally got outside, I could sense Grandad's vitamin E or D level go way up. He must of been a couple of quarts low, talk about miserable the last month or what.
I knew he was in a better mood when he suggested we go to Flagg Field, and teach me to pitch. He always seem happy when he's lecturing, I don't understand why he thinks I am going to understand what keeping my foot on the rubber is supposed to mean.
Or for that matter why he has to yell stuff like "that's a balk". Or, " there is an invisible man on first you have to pitch from the stretch".
When we finally got back home I was tring to blog, and the next thing I know is I am mounted upon a monster. Grandad's yelling" show me your Calvin Borel immatation"This horse is fifteen plus hands what ever that is, and I am not liking it up there.
Back inside, quiet time, finish the blog, take a nap. When can I go home?
See you next week Love JackPS, Maybe it will rain, so I don't have to ride anymore monsters around Grandads yard.
Hi Jack,
ReplyDeleteI was going to get you a pony, but maybe we'll start with a rocking horse and work our way up. I think polo players have more $ than baseball players.
So glad you got to go outside today. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as nice at Grammie's.
Love,
Grammie
My Goodness Jack, that is a BIG horse. How about if I bring you your cousin's rocking horse for next week. I think it is more your speed!
ReplyDeletejack, hopefully this friday will be a little better. horses are big and scary. you never have to go on one again.
ReplyDeletejack, you can fire grandad if he puts you on another monster. think you guys should stick to flag field
