The Fourth

In case anyone is trying to find me this weekend. I am back at my secret location relaxing.

Enjoy your Fourth!!
Here is a little history lesson for you

THE 4TH OF JULY
Have you ever wondered what happened to the
56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?
Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and torturedbefore they died.
Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of theRevolutionary War.
They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and theirsacred honor.
What kind of men were they?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were
farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated, but
they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the
penalty would be death if they were captured. Carter Braxton of
Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the
seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags..
Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move
his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and
his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton. At the battle of Yorktown,ThomasNelson,Jr..,noted that the British
General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters.
He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was
destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed
his wife, and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13
children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to
waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning
home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. Some of us take
these liberties so much for granted, but we shouldn't.

So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and
silently thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they
paid.

Remember: freedom is never free!
Grandad wants me to editorialize my post to add why can't Massachusetts get Statesmen like above. Why Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Barney Frank and the other goof balls that are in there right now? Where are all the patriots?
I didn't think it would be a good idea, but you know how demanding he is.

My first mug shot

The mug shots are in, I told Grandad to smile. I guess he didn't feel like it.

Help

Fridays are getting longer and longer, I'm beat by the time I get home!!

See you next week

Background check

I learned this afternoon sometimes your relatives can be a detriment. We got back to CVS, for the diapers, all's good. Wrong! Grandad lost it. This is me before I got put in the back with Grandad. Officer Todd was treating me great until the BG check came in. Auntie Ashley, Uncle Pat, and Dad made it a little different event. Soon I was in the back seat behind the cage with Grandad. What the hell is pistol whipping somebody, anyway?
I guess I'll show you my video next week on how well I can crawl.

The CVS incident

Let's get started right away, I've got a lot to tell you.
First piece of business is, it was G-Uncle Mark's birthday yesterday. Now I haven't and don't want to get in the habit of mentioning everyone's B-days, but this is a weird situation. So for the last six decades or so, G-Uncle Mark has celebrated his birthday on June 25th. Until yesterday everything was fine with that. Now it shares that date with The King of Pedophiles, excuse me, I mean of Pop. So I sent some emails to legal counsel and I think maybe he should petition the court for a change in birthdays, not an easy fix but with time and patience still doable.

Second piece of business is, I am not feeling well today, and Grandad had to take me to the doctors. So in the rush to get out the door I accidentally ripped his "Farah" poster, now normally Grandad is pretty forgiving, but he got pissed. Strike one.

The doctors office was fine, but late as usual. He kept bitching " why can't 9;10 mean 9;10. Strike two.

Then off to get the prescription. I have never had a problem at CVS before, but so far we have two strikes going.

My first question to all my blog followers is what's a GD moron, and secondly what's a neanderthal? Because I didn't know it, but they both work right downtown at CVS. Strike three, Grandad is now out, not only figuratively but he is out of his mind. Screaming all the way out of CVS, and then the phone calls on the way back home.

The best part of my morning so far is we had coffee with Auntie Ashley at Coffee Haven. So me and Ashley are trying to calm Grandad down, and we succeed for the most part, until he discovers only one diaper in the bag. Come on Mom! you know I like do take four or more poops at Grandad's. So now were off, back to CVS. There seems to be a lot of unlocking of cabinets going on, slides, clicking noises. He says were ready, and he is smiling again. Be back this afternoon with updates.
"Why the bulky jacket Grandad?"

PS; I got an ear infection, I am fine.

The Burke School

Hello, whats up with all the rain!! Grandad and I were all set for the US Open, now the schedule is all mixed up.

I went to visit
Bubchie this week at the Burke School in Medway, and met Bubchie's friend Susan Murphy. she gave me a new book. Thank you, but my reading level is much higher than that. I will save it for my little brother or sister, I would have thought my faithful blog follower would have known that. And Grandad wants to know why you two are working when there are no kids in school, he thinks you two are milking the system, I told him, I didn't think you were. But he's still skeptical.

I took this picture myself, sorry for the bad quality. I didn't get the name of
Bubchies other friend, but Grandad was sure she was milking the system too, He kept asking me " what were they doing there with no kids around?" Thats Mrs Murphy on the far right, and of course you know Bubchie on the left.

I just crawled from the middle of Grandads dining room non stop all the way to his office. I filled my pockets along the way, two paper clips, four
pebbles, one rubber band, and various twigs. Maybe someone could volunteer to vacuum up here.
Before I forget Happy Father's Day to Grampy, Grandad, And Dad. I have some good pictures of everyone but I forgot to bring them to Grandad's house, and he didn't want to go back to my house to get them. So I will have to post them from home this weekend.

So I guess that's it for this Friday, not much doing with the rain, and I want to practice my crawling. This is cool going any where you want.

Love Jack

PS I will post my Father Day pics before Sunday.

My cousins

Hi everyone, I had a busy week, my cousins from the southwest are visiting and my cousin "Kiely" had her graduation party. Grandad is cutting the lawn today so I am on my own.

Grandad looks like Magilla Gorilla on that tractor, don't tell him I said that, hopefully he'll be in soon, I am soaked. Or I might have to use those scissors and cut some stuff up.

Kiely had her graduation party, this is a picture of me and her. There was a lot of people and it was a perfect day, and so far nobody got the Swine Flu.

And the other exciting thing this week was my cousins from Texas are here, this is me and them at their Grandma's

And then we have this picture, not very often do you get everyone together like this. The only one missing is my Dad's cousin Derek.

This would have been the perfect picture, except my Mom, she doesn't trust anyone with me. Look how she is giving Ryan the evil eye. Everyone else is looking at the camera, but her. Poor Ryan doesn't know that my Dad's rule is anything somebody does to me, he does to them. I was praying for him to give me a raspberry on my cheek or even better my belly.

I guess I will leave the camera alone. I wasn't ready for the timer to go.

See you all next week, Love Jack

PS; This is the week I start crawling, or at least that's Grandad's opinion. He was amazed when he finished the lawn. I had finished the blog and was in the other room. Not quite a crawl but it's movement none the less.

Old photos

Hello everyone. not much going on today, Grandad is busy running around, So I thought I would show you some old pictures. Along time ago I wrote about my parents, well I realized. Looking at them will show me what I am going to be. So I been looking through some old albums with Bubchie and Grammie. More to find out if I will be athletic, good student, or even what I might look like some day. Well heres what I found the first couple are of Uncle Pat and Aunt Ashley, I should have posted these on Memorial day, they are both very patriotic. Nice salute there Uncle Pat!!!!

Those gotta make you laugh.

This is my Mom.

And this is my Dad

I guess I can be anyone of these if I wanted to. some I don't think I want to be.

As for the rest of the day, Grandad and I worked on our putting.

PS' Don't let the vacuum in the background fool you, Grandad doesn't ever vacuum.

PPS; Big weekend coming up, my cousins from the southwest are visiting, and Kiely has her graduating from college party.

See you next week, Love Jack

Golfing

It's a new Friday, crappy weather, nothing to do. Grandad's bored out of his tree, I suggested we walk up to the "Post". Maybe walking was a bad idea, it's cold and raw out and my fingers are numb. But it did just the trick, Grandad's smile came back with a pumkin muffin and coffee, and my mood got better after my #2 on wheat with just a hint of mayo and extra cranberry sauce.

On the way back home, we stopped in and got a couple buckets of balls. We loaded up the golf cart and headed for the range. Everything was looking good, a little wedge practice, some golf cart driving practice. Maybe take a ride around the course.

But then I figured out that I was the target.
Grandad drove right by the tee box, out to the 100 yard flag and dropped me off. "watch the spin I can get on these" was the last thing I heard as he drove away. I am definitely going to need the motorcycle helmet if we do this again.
All is well now, after a good nap, I don't think anyone can tell I was the target. Next week I hit the balls and he sits by the flag. Love Jack

PS; The welt on my forehead is not from golf, or so Grandad says, I just woke up like this.

Veterans Day

This is a picture of my Great Great Grand Uncle Len Ryerson, he died in 1942 in France. With him in the picture is Winston Churchill. Len is the tall one by the door. The picture below is of the monument in front of the town hall. And the picture below that is on the corner of Johnson Drive and Washington Street, where he used to live. The other picture is my Dad's Papa,my Dad, Grammie, and me, he served in Korea as a Navy pilot on aircraft carriers.

Here is some quotes from them.

"Watch out for alligators in Lake Winthrop!!"

-Len Ryerson

"Hey Jack, you want to hear a #$%&$$ story?"

- My Dads Papa

Did I ever tell you about the #$%??@'s I fought against.

- My Dads Papa

“If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain.”

-Winston Churchill

"Some regard private enterprise as if it were a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look upon it as a cow that they can milk. Only a handful see it for what it really is - the strong horse that pulls the whole cart."

- Winston Churchill

"You don't make the poor richer by making the rich poorer."

- Winston Churchill

"If you go out in the woods today,
You'd better not go alone.
It's lovely out in the woods today,
But safer to stay at home."

-Grammie

"Pipe down"

-Dad

"Maybe the quote idea wasn't a good one,"

-Jack

Happy Memorial day everyone, and thanks to all the vets. !!!!!

And send me other pictures of the vets I know,

Heading home

First of all, sorry to the VP, I was joking around. Everyone is so sensitive, don't worry Grandad my new password is undecipherable, even the VP won't get in next time. I know you are probably upset over the color font he chose. It is time to head home. With my secret vacation location revealed, I guess I will drive home instead of the shipping crate. This may not be a good idea, I heard my Dad rolled down the street playing around like this, and took my Aunt Ashley along for the ride. And Mr Vice President, I haven't talked to Grandad yet, but I don't think he is going to like you calling me a little punk. Maybe he will, but I doubt it.

From the VP

SAT/USAF/GOV/PHOTO/Jack

Listen to me you little punk, if you want to keep your blog up and running, do not ever make fun of the Vice President of the United States of America. I know exactly where you are. If I was not afraid of giving up the secret location of Dick Cheney, then I am certainly not going to think twice about giving out your location. My satellite zoomed in to your little sign, which I am sure is not legal. So from now on lets keep your political views out of your blog.
PS : your stupid little password wasn't hard to figure out either
.

Sincerely
Vice President
Joseph Biden

Secret location

I know it looks like the moon, but it isn't, so guess again
